About Us

We are Ana & Iris, two sisters from the Netherlands, and together we are the Dutch Doulas.

Iris is specialized in pregnancy & birth support, and Ana is specialized in postpartum support and recovery after birth.
We are passionate to help you and your family have the best pregnancy, birth and postpartum experience!
We are both active members of the Malta Doula Association.

"We had such a beautiful experience with Iris. She Iris thinks along with you and feels what is best for you. Throughout my pregnancy she came to our house various times and it was so incredibly nice. I learned from her that as a pregnant woman I am allowed to listen to my own feelings and body, and that I can choose what I want. I also learned to set my boundaries very clearly. I was advised to not give birth at home, but I really wanted this.
Eventually we succeeded to birth at home and I am so happy that happened.
At the moment labor started, she came the moment I wanted it and helped me through the intense contractions. She remained SO calm, and this helped me to feel at ease too. After the birth she accompanied us to the hospital where I needed to be sutured, and she made sure I received the care I wanted. After the birth she popped by regularly and gave me handmade aloe vera pads that helped to heal my stitches. In our last meeting she gave us a birth story that she wrote for our son. With tears in my eyes I read the story.. so beautiful!! I had such an amazing experience with Iris and I am forever grateful for this very first birth experience. I highly recommend her to everyone!"
