Postpartum Consultation
The transition to parenthood through the portal of birth can be an intense and overwhelming journey. After birth, the body, mind and spirit need tending. This consultation is totally tailored to your needs. You might need birth story sharing, an unfolding of emotional & physiological and perhaps traumatic aspects of your birth, help with postpartum planning of your family, or tips on postpartum self-care -- whatever you feel called to receive support.
A postpartum consultation takes 1,5 hour (virtual via Zoom, or in the comfort of your own home; add travel costs for in-home consultations).
Rebozo Closing Ritual
In many cultures, the closing of the postpartum period (the first 40 days after birth) is celebrated with a closing ritual, where the mother is celebrated and her body is honored for what she has accomplished.

In-Home Postpartum Care
Often, women are supporting throughout their 9 months of pregnancy and during the birth, but as soon as the baby is born they are left without support. In our country (the Netherlands) we have something that is called kraamzorg -- which literally translates to childbed care. For a week after birth in-home postnatal support is offered (supported by the government!) to the new family where there is help with running the household, cooking, organizing, serving visitors, helping mom with breastfeeding and baby care, and more.
In countries where there is no kraamzorg available, postpartum doulas fulfill this role.
We believe that every mother and family deserve to receive the best in-home postpartum care so they can focus on getting to know their baby and getting used to having a new little family member.
As postpartum doulas we support the new mom with breastfeeding, offer nighttime support to get used to the nights with baby, help with postpartum planning, give advice on postpartum meal planning, support emotional and physical support for the new mother, and more.
Postpartum care packages start at 4 hours and can be booked up until 16 hours of support. Every package is custom designed for the family we support.
